Welcome to the 5 day 4's class!  We are so excited to welcome Miss Loura to our school.  A bio is coming soon for her!  We are so glad you are here!  We look forward to a wonderful year together!

 

In this classroom students will:

• learn the basics for Kindergarten 

• learn to respect others 

• learn to obey rules

• feel proud of their accomplishments

• know how special they are to God 

• know that Jesus loves them and is their forever friend!

November: Veteran's Day, Turkeys, First Thanksgiving, Nutrition 

December: Jesus' Birthday, 5 Senses, Gingerbread, Christmas

January: Winter, Bridges, Space, Dinosaurs

February: Jesus' Love, Pet Shop, Health, Nursery Rhymes

March: Dr. Seuss, Shamrocks, Spring, Farm Animals

April: Easter, Eric Carle, Favorite Books, Gardening

May: Bugs, Pre-Kindergarten Review, Ocean Life

Typical Day's schedule:

9:15   Student Arrival (Children walk in from carpool, hang up their

backpacks,  put lunch boxes in cubbies, wash hands, sign their name

and complete their morning work and then interact in learning

centers)

 

9:35  Circle Time (During circle time we will announce our helpers, do our calendar, weather, Pledge of Allegiance & morning prayer.  We will also talk about our letter of the week and learn something new through songs and stories) 

 

10:00  Recess

 

10:30  Art & Learning Centers (Teacher guided Art lesson as well as these learning centers - Art, Sensory/Science, Reading, Writing, Listening, Housekeeping, Blocks, Sand Table, Floor toys) 

 

11:20   Clean-Up & Wash Hands

 

11:30  Lunch Time  ( We eat lunch in our classrooms or have an outside picnic)

 

12:00  Story Time & Closing CircleTime

 

12:15  Dismissal
